A highly resistant mechanical product
recommended for assemblages subject to intense stress and strain.
3M Scotch-Grip® 2353 is an epoxy-resin that is formed by thousands
of microcapsules containing adhesive substances, which, when placed
on threading components, forms a dry insert ready-to-use.
3M Scotch-Grip® 2353 is a high-performance adhesive product
appliable to a specific area of the screw tap.
The adhesive insert, created by the microcapsules, gives out its
blocking and sealing properties once the threading parts have been
assembled and the microcapsules have been broken.
Within a short space of time, the adhesive hardens and the threads
are locked and sealed together.
Once hardened 3M Scotch-Grip® 2353 withstands many chemical agents
(ex: diesel, petrol, solvents, etc.)
3M Scotch-Grip® 2353 can be applied to all types of ferrous and
non-ferrous (stainless steel, brass, aluminium and its alloys, many
plastic products) threads (screws, pins, plugs, studs, bushes,
dowels, safety valves, etc.).
Our engineering department is at one’s disposal to solve, in detail,
any application problem.
